Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be made via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Stourbridge office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment, along with a security deposit, is generally required at the time of vehicle pick-up. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where relevant. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing handled by trusted payment providers.
4. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, it is important to inspect the vehicle thoroughly and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and both parties will sign it. When returning the vehicle, it should be in the same condition as when it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and appropriate charges will apply. Ensure that the fuel level matches what it was at the time of collection, as refueling fees will be incurred if the tank is less than full. Late returns may result in extra charges, so please notify us in advance if you expect to return the vehicle late. You will be liable for any parking tickets, traffic violations, or other charges accrued during the rental period, along with an administration fee.
Insurance and Liability Terms

Additional insurance options may be offered to limit your financial responsibility. It is advisable to review these options closely. You remain liable for damage or loss up to the insurance excess, unless further coverage is purchased. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse, or violations of these Terms, will also be your responsibility, regardless of insurance.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ depending on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Use of the vehicle for any illegal activities is prohibited. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-road driving, or any other unsafe practices is not allowed. Transporting hazardous materials is strictly forbidden. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is unacceptable. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited, as is using the vehicle for purposes it was not intended for. Exceeding passenger or weight limits, as well as driving beyond agreed geographical boundaries without prior permission, is not permitted.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Stourbridge is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraudulent actions.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively within English and Welsh courts.
